IT'S official - the latest Wheels Festival programme is now available.

The Daily Echo's Tracy Hayden joined Jon Weaver, from Bournemouth Tourism, for the Bournemouth seafront launch earlier this week.

With just a few weeks to go until the UK's biggest wheels-themed family festival roars into life, organisers have announced a host of new attractions for 2016.

Making debut Wheels appearances this year will be a daredevil motorcycle stunt team, international championship beach racing and an Italian Job-style car chase with a British seaside twist.

Backed by the Echo and sponsored by festival partner, Bournemouth's Coastal Business Improvement District (BID), the eagerly-anticipated weekender is primed to attract bumper crowds.

Coastal BID chairman Paul Clarke said: "Representing over 750 businesses along our spectacular beachfront, the Coastal BID is proud to be part of the UK's biggest free wheels event in the south of England and to be hosting the first ever Wheels Gala Dinner in Bournemouth, welcoming BBC Top Gear's original Stig, Perry McCarthy, as guest speaker on the night.

"I am also delighted that the Coastal BID will be sponsoring the Monster Truck Arena throughout the weekend, as well as bringing supercar displays, performances from stunt teams and live music into Southbourne."

The Two Brothers Motorcycle Stunt Team, featuring TV and cinema street bike stunt riders Ashley Mark and Mark Van Driel, is set to wow the crowds at the festival's pop-up cliff top arenas.

Meanwhile, festival friend and TV precision ace Paul Swift is back again with his take on the classic 1960s crime caper The Italian Job. A sneak preview on social media has already achieved more than 85,000 hits.

Other highlights include the ever popular East Cliff demonstration straight, which will not be affected by the recent East Cliff landslide, the Monster Truck Arena, and everyone's favourite death-defying Aussie, the Kangaroo Kid, on all three days. There will even be a big wheel at The Triangle.

The Wheels Festival 2016 takes place June 3-5.
