A BOURNEMOUTH dad has appeared in court charged with the murder of his three-month-old son.
Robert Edmond Hinz, 33, of Carysfort Road appeared at Bournemouth magistrates court where the case was adjourned to Winchester Crown Court on Friday May 6.
Hinz is alleged to have murdered his son between April 7 and 10 this year at his home address. He was remanded in custody.
Baby Julian Hinz was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital at around 3.30pm on Friday April 8 after being taken seriously ill at a flat in Carysfort Road.
He was later moved to Southampton Hospital but died at 5.10am on Saturday April 9.
His death was treated as suspicious and a murder investigation was launched.
