FUN runners will battle through a foam filled inflatable obstacle course in a special challenge for two children’s hospices this weekend.

The Foam Fest, which has been organised by Naomi House and Jacksplace hospices, takes place at Baiter Park on Sunday, May 8, between 9am and 4pm.

The start will be staggered with runners setting off at four different times; 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm.

Charity supporters will take on a 3km course of inflatable obstacles and foam pits while families can enjoy live music, food and children’s activities.

All money raised from the Foam Fest will go towards the high quality, 24-hour care and support offered by the charity to children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses living across Dorset and the south.

Keith Wilson, senior communications officer at Naomi House and Jacksplace said: "This has to be one of the most popular events we have ever staged and we are delighted that our many supporters in Dorset will be able to take part in this very special event.”

Online entry is now closed but you can sign up on the day for £30 per person.

Each participant is asked to raise a suggested minimum £50 sponsorship to help support local families and their life-limited children.
