CANDIDATES campaigning to be elected Dorset’s police and crime commissioner in May will face off in Boscombe this month.

In what is believed to be one of the only hustings in the county, all of the would-be PCCs will debate issues at the next meeting of the Boscombe Forum on Thursday, April 21.

Visitors are welcome to join the debate, which will take place from 7pm until 9pm at the King’s Park Primary Academy in Ashley Road.

Incumbent Martyn Underhill will join Labour’s Patrick Canavan, Conservative candidate Andrew Graham and Lester Taylor for UKIP at the meeting.

Mr Underhill was elected to the new post of PCC in November 2012. Just 16 per cent of Dorset residents voted in the last elections. This year’s vote will take place on Thursday, May 5.
