SPECIALIST fire crews were called to a farm in Langton Matravers to rescue a sheep on Tuesday night.

Firefighters from Swanage were joined by a technical rescue crew from Poole at the scene just before 9pm.

According to a Dorset Fire and Rescue spokesman, a fully grown sheep had managed to get its head stuck in a feeder on the farm.

"Crews worked with an animal rescue team to release the sheep by spreading the bras on the feeder so its head could get free," he added.

"It is believed the sheep was uninjured by the experience."
