CHERRIES fans staged a brief protest at the start of today’s Premier League clash at Watford over the price of tickets.
Led by supporter Chris Millar, a group of campaigners unfurled a banner advocating the Twenty’s Plenty movement by the Football Supporters’ Federation, pushing for a maximum price of £20 for away tickets in the top flight.
The banner, which was also on display at the front of the away section throughout the half-time interval, read: "Cherries fans say twenty's plenty."
Millar wrote to Cherries chief executive Neill Blake highlighting concerns over fans being “priced out of football” earlier this month.
Cherries fans will, however, be able to take advantage of subsidised tickets for next Saturday's trip to Newcastle with adults paying no more than £18.
