A GROUP of beach huts at Alum Chine beach had to be cordoned off following a landslip.
People out and about on Sunday spotted the damage, although it is not known when exactly the landslip occurred.
A cordon has been put up between Alum Chine and Branksome Dene, although the promenade is still open.
Two glass panels appeared to have slipped from the top of the cliff during the landslip.
It comes after weeks of heavy rain and bad weather battering the coastline and making the cliff susceptible to landslips. Last month a section of the prom was closed at Southbourne after a slip there.
While only a small amount of rock reached the beach promenade four beach huts were cordoned off directly below for safety reasons.
One passerby said: "I wouldn't have even notice it if I hadn't seen the railings around the huts and wondered what they were for.
"However it now looks like some safety panels have fallen from the top of the cliff which could be dangerous.
"I guess it can't be that serious otherwise they would have closed the prom."
