DETECTIVES investigating an armed raid at a Bournemouth convenience store have arrested a 35-year-old man.
The Bournemouth man has been detained on suspicion of robbery and is helping police with their inquiries following an incident at the Best One store in Windham Road in Springbourne on Sunday February 7.
Officers were called to the store at 2.20pm following reports that a man attacked a worker with a lump of wood, leaving the victim with head injuries, before fleeing with cash from the till.
The offender was said to have run away along Clevedon Road, heading towards Holdenhurst Road, and a search was launched, involving sniffer dogs.
An appeal for witnesses has been renewed and anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 7:250.
