FOUR people have been taken to hospital after a crash in north Dorset.

The collision involved two cars and took place on the B3081 Monkton Up Wimborne at around 9.20am today.

Two elderly women from one vehicle and a woman and a child from the other vehicle were taken to Salisbury Hospital in two separate ambulances.

A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said it is not currently clear how serious their injuries were, however all the casualties were conscious and breathing and no one was trapped.

The road was cleared by 11.30am.
