FIREFIGHTERS battled a car fire in Parkstone this afternoon.
The blaze, in Ashley Road, was reported by several passers-by and a fire crew from Westbourne was dispatched to the scene at around 5.15pm.
They described the vehicle as "well alight", located in the area of number 240.
The incident caused traffic delays in the area.
Dorset Fire Control said firefighters used one hose reel jet and breathing apparatus to tackle the flames.
The fire is believed to have been caused accidentally.
