The A35 was closed both ways at Bloxworth after a crash involving two cars and a minibus on Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the crash at 9.31am.

It took place at the Bloxworth junction and the road was closed from Bere Regis and Morden Park Corner.

It involved a white minibus, a Peugeot 208 and a Renault Clio.

An earlier accident had taken place involving a Citroen Saxo and the minibus had stopped to offer assistance to the driver before the second crash occured.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the minibus did have passengers on board.

Ambulance were called and two people were taken to hospital for check-ups.

The injuries were not serious, a police spokesperson confirmed.

A collision between a truck and a car also took place near the turn-off for Bulbury Woods golf club.

It caused long delays for motorists during the morning rush hour, with Purbeck Police tweeting to warn people about the incident.

The vehicles included a white Fiat Punto, registered to a Wimborne man and a white truck, registered to a Somerset company.

Both were moved to the side of the carriageway, until recovery arrived. The road was clear just before 10am.

No-one was injured.
