THIEVES stole thousands of pounds worth of surfing gear, electrical goods and a till during a break-in at a Boscombe store during Sunday night.
Dorset Police were called to the Sorted Surf Shop warehouse, at Station Approach, after burglars triggered an alarm when they smashed a door window taking wet suits, a laptop and the shop's main till just before 1am.
It is thought the till contained a couple of thousand pounds.
The attached touch screen was found dumped in the nearby woodland near Kings Park and till cables were seen trailing through the doorway.
Jeff Skeosh, one of the company owners, said yesterday: "We had an intruder alarm go off last night and my colleague Sean went over and saw the window had been kicked in. He called the police, they came and had a look around and then replaced the window with some wood, so it's now secure.
"This morning the forensic guys turned up and checked for fingerprints and the CCTV."
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "A quantity of items were stolen including wet suits and a quantity of cash and officers are investigating the incident."
Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting reference 14:10.
