Thousands of homes in Ferndown have lost power
The power has now been restored to the 2,500 homes that lost power in Ferndown this evening.
Scottish and Southern Energy confirmed that all the power had been restored to the area.

A spokesman from Scottish and Southern Energy confirmed that the power went off just after 7.30pm this evening.
"It is affecting 2,614 homes in the area," she added.
"Engineers are investigating the cause of the power cut at the moment and are trying to the the power back on as quickly as possible."
The power is expected to be restored by 9.30pm.
