A DRIVER had a lucky escape after his car flipped onto its roof following a crash with another vehicle.

Emergency services were called to Norwich Avenue West near the NCP car park, Bournemouth, just after 1pm on Thursday, after a silver Subaru Impreza and a silver Mercedes estate collided.

The impact of the collision caused the Subaru to roll onto its roof, but the driver escaped without injury.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police confirmed that police had attended the incident but did not close the road while the Subaru was recovered.

“No arrests have been made at this time,” she added.

Ambulance also attended and paramedics checked over one man at the scene.

According to spokesman from South Western Ambulance Service there were no injuries and no one had to be taken to hospital.
