THE A30 was this afternoon closed after a motorcycle and a car were involved in a crash.
A stretch of carriageway east of Shaftesbury was shut to allow emergency services to respond.
The road has now been reopened from Ludwell.
Emergency services were called to the scene, near to Dennis Lane, just after 1pm.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 1.09pm to reports of a road-traffic collision on the A30 east of Shaftesbury between a motorcycle and a car.
"The vehicles involved were a red Keeway motorcycle registered to a man from Shaftesbury and a red Ford Focus registered to a man from Wiltshire.
"Ambulance were also called to the scene."
The road remained closed whilst emergency services attended. No one was reported injured.
The road was re-opened in both directions at 2.50pm.
