COUNCIL workers have removed an 'X-rated' Christmas light erected in Bournemouth.
Red-faced residents spotted the festive light when it was well hung in Wimborne Road on Wednesday.
But just two days later, officials made the decision to take down the decoration after a ding-dong about its appearance.
Simon Collins, who owns the Sol-Soleil tanning salon, said he had messaged the council on Facebook to ask about the cock-up.
Officials had replied to say that they believed it would look better when lit up.
However, on Friday afternoon officials arrived to dismantle the light.
The light depicts a candle with a flame flickering on top and a sprig of holly nearby.
