DETECTIVES have released this CCTV image after the windows and lights of 18 lorries were smashed in Wareham.

They are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident, which happened at around 7pm on Saturday, Octobert 17, officers said on Thursday.

The offender used a hammer to cause the damage at Viridor Waste Management Site in Bere Road.

DC Nick Gravenor, of Weymouth CID, said: “I am now able to release a CCTV image, which shows the offender clad in black with their hood up.

“I appreciate the image is not that clear, but it is the best we have available to us. I would urge anyone who may have seen someone in the area at the time who was wearing similar clothing to please call me on 101.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a vehicle or anyone acting suspiciously.

“All calls will be treated in strict confidence.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 17:20.
