A FIREWORK display will take place at Carvers Playing Field in Ringwood for the first time in years.

The event at the site has been organised by Ringwood Events Committee who want to provide an affordable family event for the whole community.

Tickets will be priced at £1 per person.

Secretary Rae Fredrick said: "We hope people will come out and support the event and enjoy all the entertainment, which will ensure it comes back every year.

"The price makes it accessible to everyone and its location means people won’t struggle to get there."

The event to be held on Friday November 6 at 6pm will start with a Best Guy Competition offering £25 prize money for the winner.

There will be fair rides in place throughout with hog roast, burger vans, live music and a professional firework display for everyone to see and enjoy.

In addition The Place, the new youth facility run by Ringwood Town Council, will be open to view and will be providing refreshments.

This new facility is fully equipped with pizza ovens, panini grill, espresso machines and a range of entertainment for young people.

The event has been part sponsored by The Furlong Shopping Centre, Ringwood Town Council and the White Heart and Crown Tap public houses.
