Plane makes emergency landing at Bournemouth Airport
POLICE were alerted to a possible emergency landing at Bournemouth Airport on Monday afternoon.
Dorset Police were notified by the airport just after 4pm and officers were dispatched to close Matchams Lane from Matchams to Port View Caravan Park.
The aircraft, thought to be a jet operated by Cobham, landed successfully without problems. The road was reopened just after 4.30pm but caused delays for drivers avoiding the Spur Road works.
