THE POLICE helicopter was flying over Bournemouth town centre in the early hours of Friday morning to look for a wanted man who failed to appear in court.
A judge has issued a warrant for the arrest of Kevin Christie, 49, from Bournemouth, who was due to be sentenced for perverting the course of justice at Bournemouth Crown Court.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police confirmed that the National Police Air Service helicopter, based at Bournemouth Airport, was flying over Bournemouth Square at around midnight on Friday morning.
They added that Kevin Christie had not been found as a result of the search by the helicopter crew and investigations continue.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Kevin Christie should contact Dorset Police on 101 or call 999 with any current sightings.
