POLICE are hunting a sex offender who touched a young child on a bus.

Officers investigating the sexual assault, which took place more than a month ago, have now released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to in connection with their enquiries.

The incident took place onboard the 1a Yellow Bus from Bournemouth to Christchurch at around 2.45pm on Thursday, July 30.

The victim, a seven-year-old boy, was inappropriately touched as the bus travelled along Gervis Road.

After the attack, the offender got off the bus along Barrack Road in Christchurch.

Police say they would like to speak to the man in the CCTV image, who is described as five feet ten inches tall, aged in his 20s, clean shaven and with dark hair.

He was wearing a dark coloured top, a brown hat, grey trousers and a silver or gold metal watch on his left wrist. He was carrying a brown leather bag and a black guitar.

“I am appealing to anyone who recognises this man to please call me on 101.
