POLICE officers were called following a dispute with a bouncer which left a man needing hospital treatment in Charminster on Friday night.
The emergency services were contacted at 9.30pm to reports of a disturbance on Charminster Road, which led to officers from Dorset Police and a crew from South Western Ambulance Service attending the scene, near the junction with Malmesbury Park Road.
On arrival, they found that a member of the public had been in a dispute with a member of security staff for a bar along the busy main road, leading to the person being refused entry.
As a result, one man was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital for an injury sustained during the incident.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that they attended and a man was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital for treatment.
They said that the man was unconscious when ambulance staff arrived and he had been involved in a 'possible assault'.
