THE brochure for this year's Bournemouth Air Festival is now available to the public.

With just over two weeks to go before the launch of the festival, the official souvenir programme, which is sponsored by the Daily Echo, can now be bought from our reception at Richmond Hill in Bournemouth, the tourism information centre at Pier Approach and from the air festival website.

Jon Weaver, air festival director, said the brochure included essential timetable and aircraft information.

“We thank the Daily Echo for putting it together, it is a great brochure. Everyone buying the brochure will be contributing £2 to the air festival charities, the Royal Navy Royal Marines' Charity, the RAF Benevolent Fund and ABF the Soldiers' Charity.”

This year besides the crowd favourites the Red Arrows, Typhoon and Vulcan, the Patrouille Reva and the Rolls Royce Heritage will also be top attractions. The Bournemouth Air Festival has attracted more than 7million visitors since 2008 and hundreds of thousands more are expected this year.

“We have the requirements to have a good festival," he said. "The Red Arrows are back for the four days, we have two stages and evening entertainment.”

The Vulcan will be flying on Sunday 23 August for the last time. This will be the last chance for Bournemouth to say goodbye to the aircraft, as it is its final flying season.

Kier, formerly Mouchel and main festival partner, is supporting the award-winning festival for the third year. Tracy Lewis, of Kier, said: “Bournemouth is a great place to live, work and visit. It’s an exciting massive event that attracts residents and visitors, which is good for the local economy. We are here to support Bournemouth”.

“Come down for the four days of the festival," Mr Weaver added. "It’s the biggest outdoor event in the UK.”

The air festival is taking place between Thursday. August 20 and Sunday, August 23.
