TWO vehicles were involved in a crash on the A31 near Wimborne yesterday while a large group of ducks were reported to be on the road.
The incident happened between the Merley Bird and Lake Gates roundabouts shortly after 9am. Nobody was injured in the collision.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Somebody reported to us that there were a large group of ducks near Merley Bird Roundabout at 8.53am.
“At 9.16am police were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A31 between Lake Gates Roundabout and Merley Bird Roundabout. There were ducks on the carriageway at the time but we don’t know if that is what caused the collision.”
He added the road was cleared of ducks around 10.30am.
