POLICE are asking the public if they recognise heavy duty copper cable recently seized in Poole.

Officers recovered the goods in an abandoned vehicle in the Canford Heath area on Sunday, July 5.

Police are appealing to owner of the 4 core armoured copper cable, or anyone who knows where it came from, to come forward.

It is around 25 meters in length and two inches across in diameter.

Police Constable Luke Davis, of Poole police, said: ā€œI am keen to circulate these images as I suspect it may be stolen property, and if it is, Iā€™d like to return it to the owner and get information that may help with our enquiries.ā€

A 20-year-old Poole man has been arrested in relation to this incident and released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
