A LONG traffic queue has formed on the A31 near Picket Post due to a broken down vehicle.
The van is reported to have broken down in the eastbound lane near to the Stoney Cross junction, blocking one lane of the road, at around 6pm.
It is the third incident on that stretch of the road this afternoon, following crashes at Picket Post and the Ashley Heath roundabout.
A two vehicle collision took place at the Ashley Heath roundabout at around 3.50pm, with one woman reported to have suffered a head injury.
The injury is not thought to be serious, although the ambulance service attended.
Police closed one lane of the slip road leading on to the southbound A338 while recovery work was undertaken, causing traffic to queue back towards Ringwood.
At around 1.10pm queues formed in both directions after a three vehicle crash at the Shobley/Linford turn off, in which there were no injuries.
