DORSET’S biggest festival opens its gates today.

Thousands of people are set to flock to Camp Bestival, held in the scenic grounds of Lulworth Castle.

The Kaiser Chiefs will headline the main stage on Saturday night while tomorrow sees Clean Bandit and Professor Green playing to crowds.

On Sunday, revellers can enjoy sets from chart-topper Ella Henderson, Bob Geldof and Underworld.

Elsewhere on the site there will be the Feast Collective - Martin Morales of Ceviche and Steven Lamb of River Cottage demonstrating their culinary talent.

An evergreen favourite at Camp Bestival, Spinney Hollow is the ultimate woodlanders’ roost.

Bigger and better than ever, this year there will be The Little Theatre Waggon and The Woodland Banquet.

Last year’s festival proved a resounding success as thousands of people turned out at the Lulworth Estate for some family-friendly music and entertainment.

Co-founder and organiser Rob Da Bank says he can’t wait for things to get started – and that there will be a lot to look forward to for everyone in addition to the big name headliners.

He said: “I don’t know where to start with our typically all encompassing, diverse and pretty wild line-up.

“Maybe at the end with electronic mega-dons Underworld revving up for the grand finale on Sunday all the way back through iconic pop from Alison Moyet, Level 42 and Bob Geldof.”
