Emergency services have been called to the A35 at Bere Regis after a three vehicle crash involving a lorry and two cars.
The incident, between the articulated lorry and two cars, happened just before 5.49am this morning.
The road has now partially reopened between the Bere Regis roundabout and the A31 roundabout.
One man has been taken to Dorset County Hospital. He is understood to have suffered slight injuries in the crash, a spokesperson for Dorset Police said.
Fire crews from Bere Regis and Wareham were also sent, along with the heavy rescue fire appliance from Blandford.
A spokesperson for the fire service confirmed no-one was trapped, and crews made the vehicles safe by disconnecting their batteries.
A small oil spill was also dealt with by the crews.
