A CYCLIST remains in intensive care after an accident in Highcliffe at the weekend.
The male, said to be in his early 70s, is being treated at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital following an incident at Smugglers Lane North on Saturday.
Emergency services were called at around 5.30pm and a spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said the man's condition was life-threatening.
The man, who has not been identified, is believed to have fallen from his bike following a "medical episode" and no other vehicles are thought to have been involved.
The incident took place just days after a woman suffered serious injuries after coming off her bike in Corfe Castle.
