SUMMER Live is returning to Bournemouth Square later today for its second year.
The free seven-week programme of outdoor musical performances and art kicks off at 5pm Town centre manager Caron Khan said she is proud that the event, which this year features a floral themed bar open all day, is returning.
“By showcasing local talent and providing entertainment for the public each evening we want to encourage people to enjoy Bournemouth Square, the gardens and the surrounding eateries,” she said.
“Summer Live is about bringing life back to our beautiful town centre, for everyone.”
A variety of music genres from rock and pop to country and folk will be represented by talent including Soulcreek, Chris Payn, Paul Kinvig, Gugge 2000, Graham Seaton, Joe Potter, Matt Black, E-J Evans and pianist Matt Black. There will be acoustic music sets and live art demonstrations from 5pm to 9pm weekly Tuesday through to Saturday until mid-August.
Summer Live has been brought to the town centre by Bournemouth Borough Council and is supported by Bournemouth TownWatch, the Town Centre BID, Absolute Music, plus local acts and artists and organisers Strawberry Fields RePresents.
