A COACH was stuck for around 15 minutes as it attempted to leave the Sandbanks chain ferry this afternoon.
Workers at the Bramble Bush Ferry, which runs the service between Sandbanks and Studland, had to free the vehicle shortly before 2pm.

A spokesman for the ferry operators said it was a tri-axle coach, which are not permitted to travel on the ferry for that very reason. She added that that there are signs stating this and it should not have been on the ferry in the first place.
She said staff moved it very quickly using a rubber bus ramp and there were no delays to the service.
