POLICE are hunting a man who indecently assaulted a teenager on a train to Poole.
Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) are investigating the inappropriate touching of the 19-year-old, who got on the train at Southampton Central railway station.
The teenager was waiting for a train on platform four when he was approached by another man who started talking to him.
Both men boarded the 11.30pm train to Poole and sat next to each other.
A short time later, the man indecently touched the victim, who immediately stood up and moved to another part of the train.
Officers have now released a CCTV of a man who they believe may be able to help them with their investigation.
DC Trevor Wilson added: “Who is the man in the blue top? We need to speak to him as we believe he will be able to assist the investigation. We believe he may have connections in the Bournemouth area. If you know who he is, or have any other information, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened on June 4, should contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
