A penguin as tall as a single decker bus is paying a visit to Bournemouth - and taking a selfie with him could win you unlimited entry to the Oceanarium until the end of the year.

Spot Humbug this weekend, next weekend or the weekend after, get a pic of yourself with him and share it on social media using #BournemouthPenguin for the chance to win a Silver Membership for four to the Oceanarium.

You'll also win an invite to the VIP family launch of the new penguin enclosure and a penguin themed goodie bag.

Sara Kirchel, Oceanarium marketing and PR manager, said: “The colony of penguins is going to make a great addition to the Oceanarium and excitement has been building since we made the announcement.

"We want to add to this buzz and get people involved in our giant penguin hunt around Bournemouth. We hope everyone has their cameras at the ready and we look forward to seeing the photographs.”

The Bournemouth Daily Echo will upload all photos using #BournemouthPenguin to an online gallery, then readers can vote for a winner from a shortlist of ten.

Each week the winner will be awarded a family of four 2015 SilverMembership allowing them unlimited entry to the Oceanarium until Thursday December 31.

Details on how to vote will be revealed soon. Don't forget to make your pictures public if you're sharing them on Facebook, or message them to us at facebook.com/bournemouthecho

Humbug will appear at a secret location in Bournemouth on the following dates:

  • Friday July 3 to Sunday July 5
  • Friday July 10 to Sunday July 12
  • Friday July 17 to Sunday July 19

Each week we'll be giving you a clue to Humbug's whereabouts - and here's this week's:  ‘You can’t miss me standing tall in the bustling centre of Bournemouth’s vibrant cosmopolitan town, surrounded by shops and eateries.’

The Daily Echo is offering everybody a half-price silver membership to the Oceanarium, offering unlimited entry for the rest of 2015. All you need to do is collect the tokens appearing in the paper next week.
