Dorset Highways needs to close one lane of the A338 Spur Road for five more nights to finish tree felling in preparation for this autumn's rebuild.

Two weeks of work were carried out overnight in June, but there is still scrub clearance and tree felling to be done.

Posting on the A338 rebuild blog, Dorset Highways said: "There is still an area of tree felling to be carried out on the northbound carriageway by Avon Heath Country Park (the northern end of the scheme).

"We’ve currently programmed this to be carried out for 5 nights from Sunday 19 July, which will require nearside lane closures on the northbound carriageway."

Scrub clearance is being done during the day but should not affect traffic.
