MOTORISTS were caught in delays at Canford Bottom roundabout this morning, as council officials carry out another traffic census during rush-hour.
Dorset County Council has already carried out three traffic surveys in recent weeks, delaying thousands of drivers.
After the last census - carried out along Blandford Road, Hamworthy, Poole, last month – a County Hall spokesman explained: “It is one of a number taking place over four days in May and June.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused but the information we are collecting is vital evidence about demand on our infrastructure and will help us in bidding for more money from central government.”
In May, a census on Christchurch Road in West Parley, and Whitelegg Way in Bournemouth, caused further tailbacks, making children late for their exams.
