A BODY was found at Hengistbury Head in the search for a man who abandoned his car at Mudeford Quay over the weekend.
The discovery was made on Sunday evening by a member of the public.
A search was launched for the driver on Saturday morning, after his abandoned car was found unlocked with the keys inside at Mudeford Quay.
The Mudeford RNLI lifeboat, the police helicopter, Coastguard teams and several police cars were involved in the search for the driver of the vehicle.

Yesterday, a search for a diver missing off the Swanage coast was also suspended after an intensive search by agencies.
The UK Coastguard said a major search across a 10-mile area had failed to find the man, who was missing from the dive vessel Emma J.
The search had been suspended late on Sunday night and discussions were held overnight about what to do next.
Police said the misisng man was aged 54 or 55 and from Taunton in Somerset.
He is believed to have belonged to a Bristol diving club visiting the area.
