A LARGE tree came crashing down in Poole on Tuesday night causing damage to several cars.
Residents in St Osmond’s Road in Lower Parkstone said they heard a loud thud as the “massive” tree landed on vehicles in a residential car park.
Fearne Sheppard, who lives in the block of flats next to the car park, said: “We were watching TV and we heard this big gust of wind. Then there was a really loud thud.
“We looked outside and saw the tree. It’s massive.
“It smells like rotten wood,” she added.
The 20-year-old said around six vehicles were parked in the car park when the tree fell and around four are believed to have been damaged.
She said: “It came down on the cars and dented the roofs and smashed the windscreens.
“It’s just lucky no one was hurt.”
