COPIES of today’s Daily Echo have sold out across the area following Cherries’ historic promotion to the Premier League – but shops are to be restocked this afternoon.
AFC Bournemouth sealed elevation to the top flight – barring an unprecedented swing in goal difference – for the first time in their history last night.
Today’s paper, featuring a special wraparound cover, has been flying off the shelves as a result.
A second print run of 3,000 copies is under way and outlets are set to be restocked this afternoon from around 2.30pm.
Acting editor of the Daily Echo, Andy Martin, said: “Last night was unprecedented for the football club and the town and, not surprisingly, today’s paper has been a sought-after keepsake of the occasion.
"We're taking the unusual step of a second print run to make sure as many people as possible can get a souvenir copy."
