JURORS in the murder trial of mum-of-five Pennie Davis have been sent home for the weekend.
They were sent out to consider their verdicts yesterday afternoon after the judge, The Honourable Mr Justice Popplewell, finished his summing up at Winchester Crown Court.
The jury has heard evidence over the last seven weeks relating to the death of 47-year-old Pennie, from Blackfield, as she tended to her horses in Leygreen Farm near Beaulieu. She was found by her husband Peter.
Justin Robertson, 36, of no fixed address, who denies her murder and conspiracy to murder, was traced by police after he dropped a set of car keys at the murder scene, the court was told.
Ben Carr, 22, of Edward Road, Southampton, and Samantha Maclean, 28, of Beech Crescent, Hythe, are also charged with conspiracy to murder, which they deny.
Proceeding.
