PART of a busy Bournemouth road was closed after a car veered into a bus.

Old Christchurch Road was partially blocked following a collision with a blue Nissan Pixo, a Yellow Bus vehicle and another parked car just after 8.30am.

The driver of the Nissan, who asked not to be named, said: “I was coming down the hill and the car wouldn’t stop.

“It kept skidding.

“There was nothing I could do so thought I better turn in.”

The driver said his vehicle then collided with the bus and a stationary car. Police partially closed the road until all vehicles were recovered at around 9.45am.

Paramedics also attended the scene of the crash, which happened near the junction with Stafford Road, but no one was injured.
