Officers say between 11.30pm on Saturday, February 21, and 7.30am on Sunday, February 22, someone attempted to break several ground floor windows with a brick or plant pot. CHRISTCHURCH: Police are appealing for information after a blue Allez road bike was stolen at Jumpers Avenue. Officers say the theft took place between 8.30pm and 9pm on Saturday, February 21. Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting crime number 7738.

NORTH DORSET: Police say thieves attempted to break into a work van while it was parked on the driveway of a house in Nether Compton, near Sherborne, sometime between 3pm on Friday, February 20, and 7.15am on Monday, February 23. Entry was not gained to the van but one of the doors was damaged. Anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting crime number 7820.

BOURNEMOUTH: Police are reminding residents to be vigilant of fraudsters claiming to be council employees. Officers say a woman claiming to be from the council’s housing department called on a property in the Highfield Road area on Wednesday, February 25. Bournemouth Borough Council has confirmed it did not have any representatives in the area and council employees would not cold-call on residents. The woman is described as being in her early fifties, of large build and with shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a black or navy coat and was carrying a small briefcase.

HIGHCLIFFE: Police are appealing for information after a bin was set alight in the early hours of Wednesday, February 25. Police and firefighters were called to the rear of Napoleons wine bar at around 1.30am. Anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101.

WINTON: Police are appealing for information following an attempted break-in at a property in Ripon Road. Officers say offenders attempted to gain entry via a patio door overnight between Saturday 21, and Sunday 22, February. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime number 007704.

WINTON: Police are investigating following a burglary at a property in Limited Road between 6pm and 7.30pm on Friday, February 20. Officers say the patio doors were smashed and a number of items were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting crime number 007480.

BOURNEMOUTH: Sometime between Wednesday, February 18, and Saturday, February 21, the windscreen of a vehicle parked on a driveway in Seagrim Road was smashed. Anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting crime number 007598.

CHRISTCHURCH: A blue mountain bike was stolen from outside a property in Wick Lane between 10am and 4pm on Friday, February 20. Anyone with information is asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting crime number 007498.

CHRISTCHURCH: Police are urging motorists to ensure their vehicles are kept secure after CCTV captured two men “interfering” with a vehicle on Somerford Road at around 2.30am on Saturday, February 21. No entry was gained. Dorset Police is urging residents to report any suspicious activity on 101.
