POLICE have charged a man over an alleged hit and run incident last August Bank Holiday weekend.

Officers charged Dean Cambage with dangerous driving and two counts of grevious bodily harm with intent last night, a spokesperson for Dorset Police said.

He is due to appear before Bournemouth Magistrates Court this morning.

The incident took place at 4.30am on Sunday August 24 last year at Bournemouth’s Poole Hill.

Two people were taken to hospital at the time with non-life threatening injuries.

Jordan March, 22, suffered bruising to her body, while Mark Berry, the 51-year-old manager of the Winchester pub, suffered a head wound.

He needed 30 stitches to his face and suffered a fractured wrist and injuries to his chin.

Cambage was arrested in London on Thursday.
