IT’S big, it’s brash and it’s roaring back to Poole Quay for a 26-week season.

Dream Machines, billed as the biggest and best weekly motorbike event in the south, will be lining up on the waterfront on April 7, however armbands go on sale on Monday.

Motorcycle enthusiasts can bag a bargain by buying their 2015 season armband from Poole Welcome Centre on the quay in advance for £7.50. This gives admission for the entire season, otherwise weekly entry is £1 per bike.

Organised and managed by Poole Tourism the event is part of Wave 105 Summertime in the South.

Last year’s sponsor BLD has dropped out after the company moved to Birmingham.

Bruce Grant-Braham, chair-man of Poole Tourism Partner-ship said: “Since 2002 Poole Dream Machines has been a self-funding event and this will continue as normal.

“Whilst we are disappointed not to have a dedicated sponsor, it remains a hugely popular part of Poole’s Wave 105 Summertime in the South events programme and we are looking forward to another great Dream Machine season in 2015.”

Shiny and customised machines enter a weekly Bike of the Night competition and weekly winners are invited to return for the prestigious Bike of the Year competition on the final night – September 29 – with the winner taking home prizes plus the coveted Midge Holloway Trophy.

Charges cover the running costs of the event, with any additional income donated to charities nominated by the event’s volunteer marshals.

Those benefitting in the past include The Youth Cancer Trust, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and last year’s nominated charity was Shine Cancer Support.
