BOROUGH of Poole has said it cannot comment on residents’ calls to change the layout of Seaview Roundabout following the death of a pedestrian.
The newly formed Seaview Action group is demanding changes to the ‘dangerous road layout’ of the roundabout. Local resident Dave Dixson, 68, died following a collision with a car there in October last year.
The roundabout, at the junction of Ashley Road and Constitution Hill Road, was revamped under the £12.1m Three Towns Travel project.
Richard Pinnegar, Traffic Manager, Borough of Poole, said: “We take the issue of road safety in Poole very seriously. This tragic incident is subject to an ongoing investigation and therefore it would not be appropriate for us to comment until the coroner’s report is released to the public.”
Seaview Action Group is to hold a public protest at the roundabout on March 7.
