A MAN was left trapped in his car following a collision in north Dorset this evening.
Emergency services were called shortly after 6pm to reports of a crash involving a convertible car at the Meadows in Gillingham.
A spokesperson for Dorset Fire and Rescue said crews from Gillingham and Shaftesbury reached the scene within seven minutes of the call.
She added: “It was ascertained that a male casualty was medically trapped.
“Crews stabilised the vehicle, then unclipped the roof from the convertible vehicle and assisted paramedics to remove the casualty to an ambulance.”
