POLICE are searching for man who robbed a pharmacy in the Christchurch area this morning.

The Police helicopter has been scrambled in a bid to help find the robber following the incident at Wessex Pharmacies in Mudeford.

A spokesman from Dorset Police said officers were called to the scene at 9.06am after a man entered the shop demanding drugs.

The offender was given some medicine by staff and fled the scene. He is not believed to have been armed.

The force spokesman said no one was hurt during the incident.
