It's set to be a chilly weekend with temperatures of 6C on Saturday, but it will feel no warmer than 1C thanks to that windchill. Sunday will be sunny but cold with it feeling like -4C up until 9am and 0C during the daytime. 

The Fire and Ice Cafe in Lymington Road is hosting a storytelling event on Saturday from 11am-4pm. The event will include a sing-along and face painting session, with Elsa from Frozen also in attendance. Call 01425 271969 for details.

A family pantomime entitled, Daisy Daisy, will go on show at Kinson Community Centre this Saturday. Performances will take place at 2.30pm and 7pm and tickets cost £4 per adult or £1 per child, which can be purchased at the centre on Millhams Road. For more call 0845 833 2823.

Food from around the world will be on offer in the Winter Gardens Car Park in Bournemouth this weekend. Eat Street Bournemouth is taking place from 2pm-11pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a host of mobile street food caterers stationed in the car park just off Exeter Road. Hog roast, Indian cuisine, gourmet burgers and more will be available for purchase at the event, which is free entry during the day and £3 per person after 6pm. The Boscombe Vintage Market is in the Royal Arcade on Saturday, February 7, from 10am to 4pm. Around 25 designers and sellers will be offering their goods.

Legendary motor sport and Formula One commentator Murray Walker will be heading back to his old marching ground to give a talk at the Tank Museum in Bovington tomorrow. The household name, who trained to fight in tanks in Bovington during WW2, will discuss the history of the street circuit in Monaco. Book at tankmuseum.org.

Students from the Andrea Knowles Academy of Dancing will be performing at Lighthouse Poole today and tomorrow. The magical story of Stardust, written by Neil Gaiman and adapted for film in 2007 is being performed at the Lighthouse Theatre in Poole on Saturday at 2.30pm and 6.30pm. The wondrous adventure for all the family is full of eccentric characters, hilarious and thrilling moments, with haunting music, magic and mayhem. Tickets are £9.85 and a family ticket is £32.

The lifeboats Robert Charles Brown and Phyl & Jack will launch down their slipways at the current Swanage Lifeboats Station for the last time this weekend. Both lifeboats are due to launch for the last time from the current lifeboat station at 10am on Sunday and members of the public are welcome to visit the station to mark the end of an era for Swanage RNLI.

Hate running alone? Then head to Poole Park at 9am on Saturday and join others for a free 5km event. The Poole Parkrun takes place each week and is run by a team of volunteers. First timers need to register at www.parkrun.org.uk/register/registerukform, then just set your alarm and turn up, The event is for those in training, wanting to get fit or who just simply want to run with other people. Refreshments and toilets available, parking at the Civic Center. Buggies, wheelchairs and well behaved dogs allowed too.
