RYANAIR have nine routes currently on offer for their summer schedule from Bournemouth Airport.

But the budget airline says they are unable to confirm whether more will be added, as they are still finalising their timetable.

Last year Ryanair ran 16 routes from Bournemouth during their summer season.

They included two Greek destinations – Rhodes and Chania – which they added as a new route for 2014.

So far this year the airline has Girona Barcelona, Palma, Malta, Murcia, Faro, Alicante, Malaga, Tenerife and Gran Canaria available for people to book.

The popular Ibiza flight is not yet included, although more routes could be added at a later stage.

Robin Kiely, head of communications at the airline, said: “We are finalising our Bournemouth summer 2015 schedule, which will be completed soon. Our summer schedule starts at the end of March/beginning of April.”

In December, the Daily Echo revealed that Ryanair would be cutting some of its services from Bournemouth.

The frequency will be reduced, but the number of destinations will remain the same, Manchester Airport Group said at the time.

A spokesperson said the airport is on course to carry up to 300,000 more passengers in 2015 thanks to the arrival of budget airline Flybe. Flybe are expected to begin their timetable from Bournemouth in March.

The full route list consists of Amsterdam, Manchester, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Jersey, Dublin, Deauville (Normandy) Toulon, Biarritz and Glasgow.

When the announcement was made last year, Bournemouth Airport managing director Paul Knight said the new routes could create up to 50 new jobs at the airport.
