POLICE have closed down a flat in Bournemouth after the residents made their neighbour’s lives a misery with noise and anti-social behaviour.
The premises closure order was issued at Bournemouth Magistrates Court last Thursday for the flat in Ascham Road in Charminster following complaints from residents including about persistent noise, parties and intimidation.
It remains in force until March and anyone found in breach of it will be arrested.
Police Constable Michaela Jephcott, of Charminster and Queens Park Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We have listened to residents’ concerns and taken positive action on their behalf. I now hope all the residents can live peacefully in their homes. I would like to reassure members of the public that we will always seek to take action and use police powers where there is evidence of anti-social behaviour.”
Concerns can be reported to Dorset Police on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
