• BOURNEMOUTH: Dorset Police briefly closed part of the Wessex Way on Saturday morning following an incident in which a person is believed to have been taken ill in a vehicle. One person received medical treatment and the road was re-opened after a few minutes.
  • CHRISTCHURCH: There were delays on St Catherine’s Way following a collision between a cyclist and a white box van at around 10am on Saturday morning. The cyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
  • POOLE: One fire crew was called to a van ‘fire’ on the Holes Bay roundabout on Sunday, which turned out to be an overheating engine.
  • BLANDFORD: Dorset Fire and Rescue Service crews from Blandford and Verwood attended a chimney fire in Gussage St Michael at around 11.42am on Saturday. The blaze was out on arrival. A service spokesman said it was a reminder that people should remember to sweep their chimneys before use.
  • RINGWOOD: Traffic was held up on the A31 at Poulner on Saturday morning after a crash. A single vehicle was thought to be involved and the incident caused delays westbound. Police attended the scene.
  • POOLE: Firefighters from Poole were called to a vehicle on its roof close at the Holes Bay roundabout at around 10.30am on Saturday. One male casualty was given first aid and treated for shock by fire service personnel.
  • BOURNEMOUTH: A property in Benellen Avenue was burgled on Thursday, December 4, at approximately 2.15pm. Raiders smashed a window at the back of the house, setting off the alarm. It is not known if anything was taken.
  • CORFE MULLEN: A silver Ford Fiesta was taken from the Co-op store car park in Wareham Road on Sunday night. It is believed the keys were left in the vehicle while it was unoccupied. The vehicle was later discovered damaged in the Queens Park area of Bournemouth.
  • POOLE: The front wheel of a vehicle parked in Warbler Close was punctured by a screw sometime between Sunday at 4pm and Tuesday at 8.30am.Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
  • POOLE: A garage in Poole Road was broken into between Saturday at 9am and the following afternoon.A Claude Butler mountain bike valued at £400 was taken.
